"The "girls" are getting along great! Pal is the sweetest dog ever! She and Sallie play and
eat out of each other's food bowls, and Sarah loves to play with them! I never knew how great it would be to
have two dogs! Pal just fit right in with our family, and we just want to thank you for taking such good care of
her, for CARING and LOVING her,and for allowing us the privelege of bringing her into our family. Thanks for
all you do at Rescue Rehab Home!"

After spending 2 1/2 years at Rescue Rehab Home/PetLover Central, Rex
finally found his forever home... His new mom and dad say "Thank you so
much for finding us Rex! We love him; every day when we come home, he greets
us at the door with a smile and one of his favorite toys or bones!!"

This is Rocky. A beautiful golden retriever. He was purchased by a family
for their teenage son. The son didn't have the time to care for him or
train him and Rocky was left in a crate in an unairconditioned garage 24
hours a day. A neighbor who would walk her dogs passed Rocky everyday,
twice a day and it just broke her heart. He was only 3 months when he
arrived and was a little guy. He grew big in that crate. Rocky would just
silently watch this woman and her dogs go by.
She finally couldn't take it and asked the owner for the dog. It took some
time and it took some pestering but they finally released him. When he came to
Petlover Central he didn't know what freedom was like. He was so scared. However, with some
love and training, Rocky adjusted well and you could see his tail wagging. He loved
playing with the other dogs and never wanted to go into a crate again. He got adopted
and now lives a charmed life with Jeff and Pam.
See Rocky in his first movie!
Or
Just see Rocky around the house!

This is Boscoe. Boscoe's dad died suddenly of a heart attack. Boscoe and her 3 canine
siblings were in the house with the deceased for 2 days until the body
was discovered. Apparently, due to their grieving, even rawhide bones
were left untouched and they didn’t even poop in the house! They waited
patiently for help to arrive. When help finally came for their deceased
owner, somehow, these “pitbulls” just knew that they were here to help.
NO AGGRESSION AT ALL was shown toward the medical personnel or the Animal
Control officers when their dad and they were removed from their home.
Our hearts were broken over their story. Not only had they lost their dad
(owner), they also lost their home. Thankfully, Boscoe's siblings had
gotten adopted but it took months in our care, waiting… she'd been through
so much change. She just wanted some consistency and some love. Nobody
wanted a pitbull it seemed. Boscoe had maintained her friendly and playful
outgoing personality despite what she had been through. It was looking
dim since nobody even seemed to be interested in her… until one day…. When
Brett and Nicole saw her picture and story on a flyer. They came over and
immediately knew she was the one for them!
Now Boscoe, is not only with her new forever family, but she has been
included in Brett and Nicole’s marriage announcement as “part of their family.”
Thank you Brett and Nicole!

Bayou was surrendered by his owner prior to Hurricane Katrina.
His new mom says:
"Thanks for all your effort and help. I adopted Bayou and renamed him Jelly Belly since
he is sooo sweet, kind and craving love and attention. (he didn’t respond to Bayou so I figured it wasn’t
his given name, hope you don’t mind) He is doing very well and happy to be with us.
He plays with other pets fine, and loves to catch lizards. He is learning to go to the bathroom after a few
incidents at home, but nothing serious. He also likes taking rides in the car.
When I have a house I will adopt more and more… We are lucky to have found such a great addition to the family.”
"Thanks and regards"

“Opal is doing fabulous. She is such a sweetheart, won't leave my side. Jupiter Farms
is going to suit Miss Opal just fine. I have a pond out front and she loves it, every chance she can
get.Nothing like having a bath both Saturday and Sunday. And, on Sunday I took her to
the beach. Time to get used to it as I go for a walk at the beach every Sunday. Miss Opal definitely
shows her gratefulness for having a home that is for sure."
"Thanks again for everything.”

"Jefferson is so good that I am just waiting for the devil in him to awaken.
He cried a little bit last night but went to sleep faster than I thought he
would. He is already settling into a routine and knows his walk route! In
fact, I tried to just take him out quickly before we went to the vet this
morning but he pulled along the entire way that we went yesterday! And,
knock on wood, he has not peed or pooped in the house yet. But he does like
to chew and to jump and gets very sad when people leave the house! He is great!"

"Hurricane got
snipped yesterday and came through like the champ that he is. Dr. Tannenbaum's
office was wonderful. I wish it wasn't so far from my house. Again I want
to tell you what a wonderful puppy Hurricane is. He now weighs 47 pounds.
He was 12 LBS when we adopted him. None of us could've hoped for a more well
behaved, mellow, happy puppy than we got. I woud like to wish you and all your
staff a very happy holiday season and you are an inspiration to me.
Don't eat too many potato pancakes for Hanukkah!!
With all our love,"

"My mommy is typing this for me:
I am a hurricane Katrina rescue. I was only about 5 months old when I was
lucky enough for 2 wonderful people (Jaime & Melissa) to rescue me and bring
me back to South Florida. My new mommy and daddy saw my picture on their
webpage (RRH) and just knew I was the one for them. I now have a new family where I
know I am loved and I have 9 canine siblings (4 brothers & 5 sisters). We
get to run and play in the yard and we have tons of toys to play with. Some of
my favorite things to do are to roll in the yard in the little white flowers,
bark at the chickens next door and sit on the couch and watch tv with my daddy.
Thank you again for rescuing me!"

"Todd & I are having a blast with Lucy. We can't believe it's been 6 weeks
already since we adopted her. She is housebroken and has already learned
to sit and shake hands! She loves to play fetch and, best of all, she still
loves to snuggle. Lucy gets along great with my sister's chocolate lab and
the kids in the neighborhood always stop to play with her when we go for
our walks. Thank you so much for bringing us together, adopting Lucy is one of
the best decisions we've made."
"Thanks again,"

"I wanted to let you know that we named the puppy we adopted (the runt) Ava.
She is doing great! She loves her new sister Kendall and she's doing great with training. We love her so much!
She is adorable and I'm sure you guys miss her so here are some pics of her..."
Thanks so much,

"Daisy", formally Sheila, survived
both Hurricanes Katrina and Wilma! She was recently adopted by Heather and her adorable pooch "Boo Dog"
(photographed above)!
"Forgive me for taking so long to get you the photos of my babies.
Here you go and thanks again for all your help! We've gotten into a schedule so she's not having
accidents in the house any longer too. YEAA!!"
"Thanks!"

"Cupid is doing just great!!
We are so happy to have him. He has really made himself at home & has a routine. He is eating me out
of house and home, :) but that's ok, he deserves it. He gets along fantastic with my Wheaten,
Henry.....he follows him around like a little brother, its really hysterical. He isnt afraid of toys
anymore & has plenty to play with. He's still a little leary when someone new comes into the house
but I'm sure that will work itself out. He follows me around from room to room, even the bathroom!!!
The minute he sees us his tail is wagging a mile a minute. He especially likes my daughter & runs to
greet her at night when she gets home from work. Here are a couple of pictures of Cupid, I'll send more
soon. Thanks again for letting us have this wonderful angel!"

"Tasha is so great! She's so sweet and loving, and we don't even use a
leash to walk with her. She won't
leave our side! She actually grabs our
others dog's leashes and walks them! She is a pig though, and a thief!
You
cant leave food on any table for a second !!!!
She's always stealing food !
Right under our noses! This is why we love her.
She may be a thief but she's
honest! And she sleeps at our feet no matter
where we are! We just love her
so much and have decided to make our foster PERMANENT!"

"Billy has been a wonderful addition to our family! She just adores her new big brother Elvis,
and she has been playing non-stop since she arrived here five weeks ago. She is so much fun to play with, but
also loves a good snuggle when she finally tires out in the evening. She has already made several trips to the beach and loves
nothing more than to roll around in the sand and seaweed and to chase the shore birds. Though we have only had her for a
short time, we already cannot imagine life without her! Thank you for giving us such a special gal for our family."
"Thanks!"

"I wanted to thank you for connecting my husband and I with little Henri.
Hope he doesn’t mind, but we changed his name to represent our family heritage. He is now officially
Henri Saucisse Greaux. Saucisse means sausage!
Henri loves his new home in Coral Gables. He gets long walks, lots of hugs and loves the couch!
(Picture Attached). He is such as well adjusted guy and it is obvious that you took great care of
him and loved him very much. Please tell all his friends that we say hi!"
"Thanks again."

"Both are doing extremely well! They have added so much joy to our home.
Barney has gained 7 pounds and is looking really good. He gained those in the first six weeks and has maintained
the weight since that time. The vet is very pleased with his physique! Barney is a very loyal dog. He's a little
clingy, but, getting better all the time. He doesn't like going to the vet and he's not too crazy about men when
he first meets them, but, that too is improving. He is still obsessive with toys, but, he destroys EVERYTHING
(even the guaranteed 'tough' toys) in no time at all so he's really only got the nylabones and a hurley toy.
Blazie girl is a crazie girl! She is very vocal and keeps us in stitches. She loves the nylabones and runs
rampant in the backyard. She likes to play fetch, but, doesn't like to bring the toy back once she gets it.
And she's such a love. I've never seen a dog that just 'melts' like blaze. She gets into some of the most
unusual positions and seems perfectly content to lay/sleep that way."
"Thanks again."

"Attached is a picture of Jazz(AKA Oscar), I adopted him in September after Katrina. He is
pictured with my other rescue dog (Angel- she is on the right) Jazz is doing great!
I have a 14 year old son and he loves his Jazz. Jazz is very lovable and loyal. He lies up on
the couch all night watching out the window; he is a protector! The slightest little noise will
make him bark and scare anything away! Makes for a rough night sleep but at least I feel safe.
Thanks again for letting my adopt Jazz, we love having him in our family, keep up the good work!"
"Thank you"

"I adopted Katie (formerly known as "Foxy Cleopatra"...a Hurricane Katrina survivor). She is so big now
and so bright and so delightful! One day I must really stop by and thank you in person and let you see her.
Thank you so much for giving me this very special gift!
I also have Marvy (short for Marvelous, because he is, because he lived through all kinds of problems). I
adopted him about seven years ago , plus a cat with a rotten disposition. The two dogs are best friends
and as far as the cat, I guess I could say that all tolerate one and another.
I am retiring in the next few months and will be moving away with my beloved "babies". Before I go I
will definitely stop by and visit with my children and give you our new contact information.
I am sure that you will be delighted (and amazed) to see what a wonderful young lady my girl has become...
yeah, right....I'll bring her and she'll turn into a total "brat" but I guess that's what teenage girls do!
Thank you again for giving me my gift and thank you for all of the work that you do..."
"Best regards."

Toby was in the shelter system for almost 3 years and
I guess since he was just a “regular ol’ black shelter dog” no one even noticed him- that's until Mary Jo came along!
Toby is now living the high life...on a sail boat believe it or not! He loves it and this once skittish dog is now
enjoying himself with complete strangers. He's really blossomed.
In the words of his new mom, "WHAT A DOG!"

"Thanks for checking in on us. The transition was a little rocky at first because Rozsa and Rochelle (now named Isabelle)
were having some hierarchy issues (minor spats). They are getting more comfortable and less competitive with every passing day. I've also
called the doggie psychologist and hope to get his insights to help us in the interim.
Attached is a photo of Isabelle and Rozsa lounging in the sun. The caption is, "Is it hot out here or is it just me?"
Best wishes,
Channing
"Attached is another photo of the girls. Rochelle (Isabelle) is on the right."

"It took RRH over a year to find the perfect home for Roxanne, but here she is, a Pit Bull, in training to
become a therapy dog! She’s with Certified Therapy Dog "Mack", and the kids at the library teaching and
reading with them on proper care when meeting a new dog, and how to treat all animals in nature! She sure
has made our life complete!"

"My mom found him at PetLover Central just months after my husband Sean and I lost our beloved chocolate lab, Tubbs. We flew
down to FL and fell in love with his easy-going and gentle demeanor immediately. We couldn’t believe that a 1-year-old
Labrador retriever could be so well trained! But it was July and too hot to fly him back to Chicago so we rented a truck and
drove him all the way to his new home - 24 hours away.
For the last two years “Koty” has lived in Chicago and loves the snow as much as the sun. He goes out every day during the
week with his dogwalker Paul and his best girl, Pappy. He recently gained the title “big brother” when we had a little girl,
Elizabeth, in May. He constantly kisses her and even presented to her his prized bone as a token of his affection for her.
When he’s not loving her, he is protecting her while she’s in her stroller on walks.
Many would say that Dakota is lucky to have found a good home. But the truth is, we’re the lucky ones. He mended our broken
hearts and completes our growing family. Or, to borrow a word from his language, he completes our “pack”."

"Chica is the most loveable darling. I adore her & everyone thinks she is so beautiful too! She is on a health plan, with
a great diet & a long walk on the beach every day. She is very happy & has her own thing & schedule...she is so funny
& loves her toys! Well, tha't a simple picture...but she is sooooooooo much more than that! We all love her to pieces!"
