Sad Beginnings...Good Endings!

Breed: Labrador Retriever
Sex: Male
Age: 5 years
Bio: Mr. Bean was found in September on the streets of Miami (see before pics above and below) by 2 brave animal lovers (THANKS Andrea & Jacquelyn) and they managed to coax him into their car and in their care, temporarily. He ate, drank and then slept for 24 hours straight! When he went to the vet the next day, doc said that this poor guy had so many parasites and so much illness, that the only thing that could keep him alive through treatment would be his will. The odds were very much against him. Luckily, he, and his human angels, kept on keeping on, and in no time, he was recovering! Swollen joints were painful and his appetite was insatiable but he had what most of us only pray we ever will if we got down on our luck! He came around, put on weight, began to know love again. Now, he’s in our care for his socialization and emotional rehabilitation. We are in search of a FOREVER, HAPPY home for Gypsy Bean! He is a handsome, typical adult lab! He’s gentle and kind and and is VERY easygoing.

Will YOU be the lucky one to bring this guy into your family? We know he will forever be grateful!!!

Formerly Gypsy Bean, Lazlo with his new sister Jesse…he’s the big one!! What a success story!!!

Breed: Labrador mix
Sex: Male
Age: 7 years
Bio: Max had a rough start after being adopted & mistreated as a pup. A woman who was suicidal adopted him where he spent the last few years. Although he was loved and spoiled, their relationship ended badly. She recently committed suicide and hoped he would do the same. She left a bowl of antifreeze next to her chair where she died.

But good 'ole Max…he wanted to live! He tipped it over & just waited for help to arrive. Fast forward to his bright future.

"Max is a great dog; he loves it here. Our neighbor has a yellow lab and they have become best buds. He follows me around
every where; god forbid if I stop short, he runs right into me!! We taught him how to play catch, he sits up on his hind legs
with his front paws in the air, and oh yeah, he thinks he's a lap dog! Now THAT'S a big lapdog!"

Description:
Cupid was hit by a car and suffered a fractured pelvis, and left tied by an electrical cord to a car bumper out in the yard to recover. That was 2 years ago…!

He has known no love, no toys, nothing at all. We rescued him after his “owner” deserted him, still tied down. He never had a haircut and his fur was completely matted over his makeshift collar. No fresh water, or any love it seems. Until now, we rescued him, groomed him and treated his medical needs (Thanks Dr Tannenbaum!).

Cupid now feels great! He got a MUCH needed haircut and has been eating like a king! He's still scared of toys since he’s never seen one, but with all the love and attention he’s getting, he’s coming along very nicely. He LOVES his plush bed and is just an angel. His eyes are so soft and sweet. He just wants to be loved.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!
We need donations to help with Cupid's rehabilitation costs! Care for Cupid and dogs in need like him can be costly, but we believe every dog is worth it. We know when his deep, soulful eyes look at us. Our accounts are drained and we need to replenish our medical fund to continue helping dogs like Cupid!

Tax-deductible donations can be made by clicking the donation button above
or by mailing a check to our mailing address (Click here)!

Tied up to a car bumper for 2 years!

"Cupid is doing just great!! We are so happy to have him. He has really made himself at home & has a routine.
He is eating me out of house and home, :) but that's ok, he deserves it. He gets along fantastic with my Wheaten,
Henry.....he follows him around like a little brother, its really hysterical. He isnt afraid of toys
anymore & has plenty to play with. He's still a little leary when someone new comes into the house
but I'm sure that will work itself out. He follows me around from room to room, even the bathroom!!!
The minute he sees us his tail is wagging a mile a minute. He especially likes my daughter & runs to
greet her at night when she gets home from work. Here are a couple of pictures of Cupid, I'll send more
soon. Thanks again for letting us have this wonderful angel!"

Poor Luvey Duvey was living tied to a tree in the backyard. Thankfully, her ‘owner” called us to help her and we did. As you can see (before pics), she didn’t have much of anything. She had puppies but not much else. She was a matted, dirty, scared and hungry little thing when we rescued her. Well after a good groom and TLC, she perked up to a VERY happy and joyful girl! She LOVES food so she will do any trick you want if she gets her prize! She also loves attention, other dogs, toys and everything else a happy dog should want from life!
