Bio:
Hope has very little reason to have hope…but she does. Her certain doom was spared by a passerby on a very busy highway. Her “angel” who pulled over to take her into her car was on her drive to care for herself..on her way to cancer treatment. She was late, and surely didn’t have time to spare but when she saw this poor dog on the road, she had to stop to help. While she can’t keep Hope (the dog that is), she still has faith that this dog was saved for a reason and we need to help her. She needed to put on weight (she’s now about 50 pounds) and get “fixed up” but she is a healthy and pure love bug who seems ever grateful for her life. She’s a mellow gal who is just happy to be in air conditioning and have a regular supply of food. Doesn’t seem like too much to give? Please help Hope find a family of her very own- she’s been through so much, and what a gift it would be for her angel who saved her from the streets.

Bio:
Simone has such a story! Kind neighbors (you are the BEST) have watched her over the years relegated to the backyard with no shelter, food or water most of the time. They tried and tried to help her as much as possible and finally- after a long battle, got the “owners” to surrender her and now she is safe at last! Air conditioning was new- as was, fresh water, kids, cats- all of which, she has done amazing with! She even loved her bath! It may have been the first bath in years for her (except for the downpours of South Florida rainy season) L - The good news is, she’s healthy and ready for a real family! She doesn’t ask for much- just a cool place to rest and be loved.

These 2 pups were born April 20, 2008 and are obviously just delish! Their mom was found on the street by a dog loving human (who is adopting mom) and the pups were born days later. She is a 40 poundish black lab mix and, since dad didn’t leave a note, we don’t know what they are! BUT we do know they are adorable and will be with momma until at least 8 weeks of age (ready 6.5.08) so they will learn good manners and team training!. Bio:
Lucy was part of a police case where she, and her canine housemates were taken to safety when they arrested the human for neglect, among other things. Lucky for her, we heard she was a staff favorite at animal control and they did all they could so she woudnt be put to sleep. We grabbed her and she immediately fit in with her foster family of 4 dogs, a cat and a monkey! Yep, a monkey! She is VERY tolerant to all the action, including the monkeys obsession with his new canine sibling. While we still have lots of work to do to assess her, and fatten her up, in her first week, we have learned that she is as sweet as a double dipped sugar coated cupcake and she LOVES attention! We think she’s making up for lost time. She is not protective of her food or attention and deals nicely with lots of action around her. She is a real darling and seems to be so easy going and happy!

Bio:
Electra was recently found in a family neighborhood romping beside the family she HOPED was hers! Although they can’t adopt her, they took her home for a few days until we could take her and here’s what we know: She’s super nice and very friendly. She shows no aggression. She has never slept on a bed (probably born on the streets) because she wouldn’t go near the dog bed she was offered- preferred the floor. She likes babies (the human kind). She is really healthy and happy and is a mini Doberman! She’s literally only 16 pounds and her favorite spot on car rides….??? The kids car seat (of course, that’s only when there’s no child in it!) Oh, and she walks beautifully on a leash and doesn’t have a mean bone in her tiny body! She is an AWESOME dog if you’re looking for a small, low maintenance dog addition to the family !

Bio:
Tucker was witnessed being tossed out of a car by what can only be called a monster! Luckily, he had angels watching him (thanks Dennis and Jenna) who could not leave Tucker where he was dumped. They took him instantly to the vet, where he was diagnosed with mange, malnutrition..and he even needed a blood transfusion….Poor guy could hardly stand up! Well, he’s on his way to healing and loving- maybe for the first time in his young life. In only a few short days, he has shown his gentle, loving side by offering kisses of gratitude and being a pure sweetheart. Linguini was found on the streets and when the angel who found him checked out his chip, she learned he was deserted by the family who adopted him as a pup last year! No one can understand why she doesn’t want him back because he is 100% pure love!!! He’s named Linguini because he is long, flat and thin…not to mention DELICIOUS!!!! He loves all people he meets, loves loves loves playing with all our dogs and is a perfect gentlemen. He is gentle and sweet and will allow you to take a bone from him, play with his food, his toes, ears, tail- whatevah! We’ve known this sweet girl since she was born practically- she was of a litter of pups
found living next to a slaughterhouse in South Miami and they were only a few weeks old.
We took the whole bunch, left mom to be adopted by a worker there and had them till they
were each adopted. Poor Paloma was adopted as a pup and all was going great! We even got
to see her every few months when mom went away- but now, she has given the lil beauty
up- for a job that is seemingly more important than Loma. No, we don’t agree, but we
wont desert this girl as all she has known is love her whole life. She’s well mannered
at home and loves people she meets. Loma is about 45 pounds and a little “chunky”-she h
as a very soft and sensitive personality and will likely cherish the ground you walk

Mr Scoobs is just an awesome guy! He has spent a LONG time in the shelters, probably because he wasn’t feeling well for a while- lucky for him, they let us “borrow” him a while back and we have ALL fallen in love with this easy going guy! He loves his crate to sleep in (he’d probably love your sofa too) and he loves to lounge around and take it easy most of the time. He has HUGE following of fans because he’s just a real sweet guy who deserves a real family of his own. He’s affectionate, and silly, and funny and will even howl on command! But most of all- he’s a real easy, laid back guy who is grateful for all he gets and will make a great family pet. Rufus was brought to us when a kind woman found him in her backyard. He was the neighbor’s family pet for all his life and when they moved away after losing their home, he was left behind. He’s super sweet, very cuddly, friendly to all animals and people he meets and just loves to be on your lap! He’s not your typical Beagle in that he doesn’t howl at every sound and is happier just relaxing. Bio:
Sweet Chula was rescued by a good hearted woman who unfortunately could not keep her after their 2 years together. Chula grew too big, and her “mom” was too fragile to handle a medium/large sized dog. It’s a real shame because Chula is an awesome girl who LOVES other dogs, has passed her basic obedience classes, and is a GREAT dog with a human who will just show her “the rules”. She loves mostly every one she meets, young or old, and is very happy when people are around. However, since she’s all grown up, she can stay at home all day while her humans go to work to bring home the biscuits where she will be waiting patiently and gratefully!
